QUADRIFLEX is the trading name of the new compressible tube proposed by PLASTIMEC. 
The QUADRIFLEX design is a collaborative effort of PLASTIMEC with leading European companies specialized in the production of yarns for the automotive industry. 
The target was to develop a compressible tube that can be used without separators plates and guaranteeing adequate support and a perfect unwinding with medium and large dtex yarns. Moreover it must be usable as carrier for spun dyed yarns to be steamed. 
QUADRIFLEX is particularly suitable for manufacturing air textured yarn (Taslan Yarns).

1. High number of touching points for the yarn. It shortens the distance between one point and another. This feature greatly reduces the effect of "witness", which is found on the yarn directly in contact with the tube body

2. The final part of the tube is slightly conical to prevent slippage of the yarn package out of a tube to another during compression.

3. Outer diameter of the tube body larger than the standard.

4. First layer of flexible elements weaker. It guarantees the collapse of the tube part which is not covered by the yarn during the compression operation.

5. Not deep interlocking that it does not create barriers to the liquid dye during dyeing.

6. Particularly smooth Interlocking in order to facilitate the stacking of the dye packages, there is the possibility to automatize by robot.
